Undeniably, in the decline of radio & FM culture, Instagram has become THE way of discovering new music, because all other music & video streaming platforms let the user CHOOSE what they want to listen to, thus making natural discoverability less probable.
After discovering Hanumankind’s Big Dawgs on Instagram last year (I thank GOD for making me discover Hanumankind !!!), and then the hit single APT by Rose & Bruno Mars later in the year (which I strangely discovered through Mumbai Police’s Instagram account), this year is a complete mixed bag with devotional music in the mix. Check out some of Instagram induced earworms:
#1 : "Devil is a Lie" - Tommy Richman
Not exactly a earworm but it took me back to the 2000s somehow:
#2 : "Temple" - Jean Du Voyage
There’s something so powerful about this music, it’s almost like invoking the Goddess or the divine feminine energy inside you and feeling it move! Not exaggerating :
#3 : Mahakumbh Stuti
Saving the best for last! This track wasn’t just on repeat – I loved it so much, I ended up memorising the lyrics just to sing along effortlessly. It held a special meaning for me, especially after my visit to the Mahakumbh Mela earlier this year:
